Nothing is more vital to national security that a strong and well equipped military.  Every effort should be made to attract and retain the best and the brightest to a career in the military.  Our fighting men and women are and must continue to be the best trained and equipped in the world. The American men and women in uniform are and should be our most venerated citizens.  The Veteran’s Administration and VA Medical facilities should be the premier medical facilities in the country.

In order to maintain  a strong National Defense we need to scale back foreign aid and entanglements, bring American troops home from the Middle East as soon as possible, and reduce involvement in military affairs abroad.  While I am not advocating “isolationism”, we have far too many problems here at home that should take priority.
